FOX News Channel: Buffalo NY rediscovers religious relics

FOX News sent me to Buffalo NY last week with Lauren Green (FOX Religion reporter) to shoot a story about a intricately assembled tapestry including numerous embedded relics. Call it a work of art or a significant grouping of relics, there’s no doubt that the framed work is mysterious and beautiful.

Saranac Beer Commercial: “Beer is Our Craft”

The latest Saranac Beer commercial has been released. The approach was to capture the essence of the brewery as it has been creating great beer over many generations. We wanted to show the passage of time using cinema time-lapse techniques as well as capture unique images in a “surreal” fashion, saturating colors, and centering in on fine detail. The Matt’s kindly opened the door for creative expression and this was the result!

All credit to Romanelli Communications for their super creative ideas and talent in all aspects of Production. I am honored that they asked me to film the images for this prestigious company. Romanelli paved the way and opened the doors to allow the filming of this commercial “outside the box”. Without their vision, this would never have been possible. We had a lot of fun with this one!

CBS Early Show

The CBS early Show called us to shoot a segment in Orchard Park, NY on Tailgating. We met up with Joe Cahn, know to many as “The Commissioner of Tailgating” …or simply “The Commish”. Our tour in the parking lots outside of The Buffalo Bills Stadium brought us to some incredible displays of food creation. We arent talking about hot dogs and hamburgers anymore…this is some serious cooking. Check out the video! …and, yes, the Bills won that day…Go Bills!

ABC Primetime Nightline Beyond Belief: “Battle with the Devil”

TVCREW NY worked with ABC News Primetime Nightline: Beyond Belief  special news feature called “Battle with the Devil” hosted by Terry Moran.

We traveled to East Aurora NY (Buffalo) and spent the day with members of Agape Church. This is a church that believes demons are responsible for numerous negative issues in peoples lives…and they must be cast out. We filmed a “Deliverance Service” and witnessed many people, even children, transform into a different conscious state of mind as they believe demons are being forcefully removed from their bodies. This specific topic covered just one of six acts in this hour long special. The remaining acts are fascinating! It was a distinct pleasure working with producer Wonbo Woo and correspondent Terry Moran.

NBC/Today Show “Life-size Barbie gets real women talking”

Clinton, NY April 15, 2011

The Today show assigned us to cover an very interesting story about Hamilton College student Galia Slayen and her “Human sized Barbie doll”. Galia overcame a personal battle with anorexia when she was a teenager. At age 16, she created the Life-sized Barbie as a high school project. She hoped to raise awareness of eating disorders and how the Barbie doll has encouraged young girls to emulate an unrealistic body image. Galia built her Barbie doll to the exact proportions to a human (the head is not proportional…she said she used a Mattel toy head because she could not sculpt) The important emphasis was the bust, waist, and hips…which are in exact proportion to the 12″ doll.

Galia hopes the doll will be used at Hamilton college to further the discussion of eating disorders in woman’s lives.
